LuMin is You
LuMin is all about community. Our leadership team is here to make sure that community runs smoothly, but LuMin’s leaders are no more a part of that community than any one else. We would LOVE to have you contribute your amazing skills, talents, or time to LuMin at Yale. There is always things to be done and if you feel called to serve the LuMin community then by all means WELCOME!!!
LuMin’s mission is also clear: You are amazing, beautiful, special, and loved. LuMin welcomes you as you are, and we will never deny anyone a role in LuMin for being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or for any nature of their identity.
Rev. Kari Henkelmann Keyl

Hailey Talbert
(she/her/hers)
Hailey Talbert is a second-year student majoring in English. She grew up on the Maine coast. In her free time, Hailey works as a student guide at the Yale Center for British Art, a staff reporter for the Yale Daily News, and a staff writer for the Yale Undergraduate Law Journal. She joined LuMin in her first year and loves participating in Wednesday Night Taizé prayer. Hailey greatly appreciates the Lutheran community on campus and looks forward to helping other students feel welcome in LuMin!

Brook Smith
(they/them/theirs)
Brook is a senior in Jonathan Edwards College majoring in Political Science and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. They grew up Lutheran in Southwest Virginia and joined LuMin during their first semester at Yale, and they’re so glad they did. Brook sees LuMin as a wonderful community in which to grow into faith as an adult, and there is truly no better remedy for Yale stress than the peace and calm of Wednesday night Taizé prayer. LuMin has served as a comforting, home-y presence for Brook throughout their time at Yale, and they are so excited to help pass that welcome onto other students!
Lauren Delwiche
(she/her/hers)
Lauren is a junior in Grace Hopper college studying electrical engineering. She’s so excited to be a part of the amazing LuMin community. Outside of LuMin, you can find her on the rugby fields or in one of the many libraries with a good book.
Jonathan Weiss
he/him/his
Jonathan is LuMin's lead musician. He graduated in 2024 from Yale, where he majored in Music, served as a First-Year Counselor, and made it through senior year anchored by Taizé and the lovely community of LuMin. Jonathan lives in New Haven accompanied by a mini music studio, potted plants, and goofy stuffed animals. Thanks to the Chauncey Fellowship, an extraordinary opportunity that helps graduates in the area pursue artistic and service goals for a year, Jonathan is composing an original musical and finding ways to serve the community through music. He looks forward to welcoming students into this wonderful space of reflection and joy.
