Spring 2025
Sharing LuMin Joys As Spring Turns to Summer
Dear LuMin community of students, alums, families, and friends,
Come and rejoice with us as we celebrate our graduates and the love of God that has held us strong this past academic year!
Through challenging times, our support for one another and our deep connections of faith felt more vitally important than I can remember. I pray that you also are finding the sustenance you need, and I hope that our smile-filled photos bring you refreshment, hope, and a sense of the belovedness we are all meant to share.
~ Rev. Kari Henkelmann Keyl — Pastor for LuMin at Yale
A Yale-blue sky and cool weather delighted us on Commencement Day!
Students briefly pulled away from their after-Taizé-Prayer conversation to have their picture taken!
End-of-School-Year Celebrations
Our last worship gathering of the year was full of love and faith, as we gave thanks to God for seven students soon to be graduating — blessing them in a prayer huddle, giving them gifts, and ending with singing our favorite Taizé songs! We were so into it, no one remembered to take pictures (rats!) so you'll have to use your imaginations : )
See some words of blessing we spoke that night at the end of this email.
Later that week some of us met at Phelps Gate to walk to Arethusa for ice cream, then walked on to Ashley's to accommodate for the dairy-free among us. We ended up calling it our "Ice Cream Crawl," with hopes to make it a tradition! It was a memorable and laughter-filled time — perfect for capping off our year together.
Commencement Vibes!

Blessing Words for You
With every step you take,
this blessing rises up to meet you.
It has been waiting long ages for you.
Look close and you can see the layers of it,
how it has been fashioned by those who walked this road before you,
how it has been created of nothing
but their determination and their dreaming,
how it has taken its form from an ancient hope
that drew them forward
and made a way for them when no way could be seen.
Look closer and you will see this blessing is not finished,
that you are part of the path it is preparing,
that you are how this blessing means to be a voice within the wilderness
and a welcome for the way.
~ From Jan Richardson's Circle of Grace, spoken as we huddled in prayer around our grads at our last Taizé Prayer of the 2024-35 academic year
